Across Sky's four-person UX team, we collaborated to build a centralised design system built on semantic and primitive token architecture. This allowed for standardised design decisions to flow down to products across the business, including Sky Web, Sky Go, Sky TV UI, and Neon. The goal was a single source of truth that kept the visual and interactive experience consistent across all of Sky's touchpoints.
My contribution spanned both the component design work and the broader effort of bringing the system to life. Working closely with the rest of the team, I helped design and define components specifically for the Sky's Website product while staying true to the shared token foundations.
We also began experimenting with Claude Code to build a GitLab repository housing all components, tokens, and interactions. This gave us a working playground to turn Figma designs into real in-browser prototypes using our live token system. This significantly improved the handoff process with our development team and closing the gap between design and development.
